Coach Alex is a former professional soccer player from the Czech Republic.

He started to play soccer at the age of five and joined FC Kosice youth academy. When he was 15 he got an offer from FK Austria Wien (his older brother Jakub was part of the academy) but he decided to join AC Sparta Prague youth academy. Two years later Alex signed a youth contract with FC Porto, Portugal. FC Porto has one of the best youth soccer development academies in the world. At the age of 17, he was already a part of U19 and Reserve team. During the season he trained with the A team and met with players like Hulk, Lucho Gonzalez, Bruno Alves or Lisandro. After 2 years of playing in Portugal Alex moved back to the Czech Republic.

He signed his first professional contract when he was 21.

Alex played in the highest league for FC Zlin, FC Banik Ostrava, and FK Senica. He also played in Germany.

After retiring from professional soccer he moved to Vancouver, Canada, and became a coach at Volf Soccer Academy. As an offensive player enjoys practicing shooting and finishing. Alex likes to ensure his players have fun but understands training is about hard work, focus, and discipline.

In February 2023 Alex and Libor opened VSA in Dallas, Texas. Alex is the head coach and co-owner of the academy in Dallas.
